About Us

We are a family run business and have been running sports camps for 16 years with great success. On average we have around 80-140 children attending each camp, however with new restrictions in place, numbers will be reduced and limited for 2020 camps. We adhere to the new Covid-19 restrictions for 2020 and our guidelines, safety and protocol documents can be viewed on our Important Documents page.

Children’s abilities vary but without fail all our children progress, have fun, make new friends and complete the course with at least one extra life skill.

We specialise in pre-season training in the area your child will progress to – i.e. in rugby for example … if your child is starting tackling, scrummaging, line outs or transitioning to full squad/pitch next season,  by attending our camps, they will be ahead of the game! Same applies with our cricket and football camps.

Activity Camps are a great way for your child:

 To keep active

 Have fun

 Make new friends

 Try something new

Take part in a whole range of activities and sports!

Cobham Academy staff members are trained, DBS-checked and full of enthusiasm to deliver fun and inclusive activities, to keep children entertained all day.

The Cobham Academy Ltd. offers sports camps and courses hosted at a variety of venues including the Cobham Sports Association, home of the Cobham Rugby Club, Cobham Netball Club, Cobham Tennis Club and Cobham Lacrosse and the fantastic facilities at Shrewsbury House School.

Cobham Academy Course Director, Billy Davison played rugby for England A, Harlequins and Saracens. Billy is currently a Harlequins Academy Development coach and Director of Sport at an independent school.

We look forward to welcoming your child to one of our camps.

Best regards,
Billy and Mags Davison

Our kids have always attended or helped out at our camps. We offer work placement to friends and Cobham RFC members, some of whom need work experience, DofE volunteer hours completed or for some ‘pocket money’. Unqualified staff are not allowed to oversee a group, but they can assist a qualified coach.
